Aluminium billets
Aluminum Billet is one of the semi-finished products of aluminum casting, which is obtained from aluminum ingot. This product is produced according to the industries and the application of the customer’s order in various usable alloy groups according to international standards with different diameters. In this collection, the billets are produced in diameters of 6 to 12 inches by the Air slip method.
The air slip method is a newer technology in billet production and the quality of the product produced by this method is in a better position. The technology of this method belongs to the Wagstaff Company of America, which is used in many advanced aluminum production companies today.
This system has many advantages over the old Hot Top system, some of which are mentioned here:
1. Phase separation at the lowest value
2. Improving the surface quality of the billet
3. Improving the degassing system and settling the melt
4. The possibility of producing large billets
5. The least number of cracks are created in high-strength alloys
6. The molten material enters at a very low rate, which causes very few problems.
7. Improving the conditions of freezing and granulation of metal
